In Search of Darkness: 1990-1994 April Production Update

Hey In Search of Darkness horror fiends! Production continues apace for In Search of Darkness: 1990-1994 as we continue to enlist both new and familiar faces to talk all about '90s horror.

I'm excited to reveal that ISOD: 1990-1994 now includes Stephen King's IT miniseries director Tommy Lee Wallace and Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday director Adam Marcus, plus knowledgeable '90s horror superfans Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill HouseMidnight MassDoctor Sleep) and M3GAN/Malignant screenwriter Akela Cooper (who responded "Hells Yeah!!!" when I invited her to join me to talk about her favorite '90s horror flicks/inspirations; her enthusiasm is infectious).

Also of note: Annie Choi, co-author of Bleeding Skull!: A 1990s Trash-Horror Odyssey, is on board to give proper balance to the likes of Oscar winners Misery and The Silence of the Lambs with breakdowns of outrageous, micro-budgeted shocksploitation/shot-on-video flicks. You've been warned!

And two more fan faves have returned to the In Search of Darkness fold: Heather Langenkamp and Charles Band! Heather gets candid about playing "herself" in Wes Craven's New Nightmare, while Charlie dives into the rise of his iconic Full Moon Entertainment in the '90s.

Last, but certainly not least, we have a brand-new composer joining our team to score In Search of Darkness: 1990-1994Dream Invaders, a synthwave/retrowave/horrorsynth project (consisting of talented duo Valerio & Victoria Costa) whose brand-new score will bridge our established '80s sound with the grunge-tinged music of a new decade. Stay tuned!
